I just read yesterday that all the various armed forces passed Wing Walkers out, or sold them at their commissaries. So very widespread.
I remember in the late 90's Army Surplus Stores were all over the Bay Area too.  and they sold all sorts of military gear.  I even bought a pair of boots there.  Probably not wing walkers, but who knows.  Yeah there were lots of places where some could pick up military boots.

Much has been written about the Zodiac Sea Wolf watch here, but in the 1960s they introduced a pilot's watch:  to keep up with the jet age, it had two time zones on it.  https://fathertimeantiques.com/index.ph ... Itemid=141

Tom,

I believe the women you spoke to mentioned that the recent show made her realize something. I assume it was a Zodiac to Lake Tahoe connection. Did she mention why she never came forward earlier, or was it that she never realized of the possible connection.

This suspect was in the air force.   The boots the Zodiac wore at Lake Berryessa were "wingwalkers" which was a military boot used primarily in the air force.    Does not mean he is Zodiac but it is interesting.

Yeah, the MO for the Zodiac just doesn't come off as a married man, but then again, BTK was married, so ??

Tom,

Under the heading of getting ahead of ourselves, assuming a DNA sample was obtained from this individual or a relative, do they have a definitive DNA sample to match it against . Or are there more then one DNA samples ?

To me the most definitive DNA samples would be from the stamps/envelopes. The gloves are in question and CJB is not a definite Zodiac crime.

Thanks

Hi east, Don't forget that LE has more stuff than they talk about, I'm pretty sure there's something with DNA on it because Z wouldn't have been wary of such a thing then. But LE needs a fire lit, you know where.
