After reading "The Most Dangerous Animal of All" came across some interesting coincidences . Van Best ,the author's father & "Z" suspect was very chummy w/Anton LaVey to the point they played organ duets @ the same coffee shop & also Van was a regular visitor @ LaVey's "church" which had once been a Russian Embassy . Recalling Marlin Marynick's book "Charles Manson Now" there was a fellow who was going there who Stanton Lavey's grandmother alluded was "Z" .....could this have been Van Best(or Davis) ? This is a double coincidence from two different sources . I think it's quite intriguing  .
 Also discussed here ; http://zodiackiller.fr.yuku.com/topic/7 ... R9XJvnF-So
Something else mentioned in the MDAOA was Van Best was well acquainted w/Rick Marshall @ the Avenue theater he ran in San Francisco.....Van would go there to hear Robert Vaughn play the antique organ.....eventually he got to know Marshall well enough that Marshall would let Best fill in for Vaughn when he couldn't perform .
This also implies that LaVey likely knew Marshall as they were travelling in the same circles .
Some interesting coincidences for sure & establishes that these guys weren't just casual acquaintances but perhaps something more .

Have you seen proof that Van Best knew any of these Guys? If so, can you link to it?

Mere connections, or something substantial? Please elaborate.

The movie will elaborate Tom. Try as you might to hold your little empire together, the truth will come out soon enough! Ask Pierucci! Oh, but wait, anyone in law enforcement wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole! I forgot, your credibility has gone to &&@"!

I guess I was under the impression that someone wouldn't blatantly lie about this info Tom.....I mean ,I don't believe everything I read naturally .The thing is most of the discussions on these boards are based on the written word ,either in books or witness reports....if you disregard everything that is written you wouldn't be left w/much to discuss .However that being said ,I've noticed the last couple of days Gary's unusually childish comments & malicious attacks on Sandy Betts who has dedicated more time & effort on the Zodiac case than most anyone on here which certainly includes Gary Stewart .I'm not one to get into pissing contests w/anyone as I believe it's counterproductive to this case ultimately being solved .Pettiness is not my game but after witnessing Gary's appalling behaviour these last couple of days I'm inclined to question if not totally disbelieve pretty much everything in "The Most Dangerous Animal"...also I refuse to be baited by childish taunts....nuff said ! Looking forward into seeing ya all on more constructive discussions .

That's cool, the reason I asked is because I refuse to waste my time reading the book after learning the significant-if-true Zodiac claims were bogus. Not at all interested in Gary's "journey."

Those connections are made in the book Tom .I guess it's up to the reader to believe or disbelieve.....too bad there wasn't another valid source....

Saying I had dinner last week with Santa, The tooth Fairy, and Bigfoot, doesn't make it real. Let's see documentation that EVB knew or hung out with those Guys. As Cuba Gooding would say.....'SHOW ME THE MONEY'. The Guy's is making Bullshit claims and has shown ZERO in the way of proof. His own Mother calls him a bullshitter. We know he has false bullshit in his book, case in point, the 'writing link'.

Gary is bragging about how law enforcement won't touch you with a 10 foot pole Tom, but isn't this the same law enforcement who Gary accuses of a cover up?

The best advice I can give, is ignore this guy and his bullshit claims and just wait for his 15 minutes to end. A year from now, two years from now, we will be talkingabout the next crap book that's out, and Gary will have faded from memory like the Deb Perez's & Dennis Kauffman's of the world did before him.

So you haven't read my book Tom?!? It provides more evidence against one suspect than your assimilation of two decades of false suspects! Read the book!
