Hey, it looks like Dave may be a doubledipper when it comes to have his baseball dreams realized! The San Francisco Giants came from behind to take the NL Championship! This is the first time in World Series' history that the Tigers and the Giants are facing off with one another. I like both teams but my money is on Detroit.

I hope VD gives those poor folks in Detroit a break. Let Tigers fans have their dream come true for a change; they need something to get excited about in Detroit.

4 days ago, I would have sworn (and been disappointed) that St. Louis won, but what a comback! Detriot has the advantage of excellent pitchers, and a 5-day rest, but the Giants are well aware of pressures in a World Series, having been in one back in 1989, 2002, winning in 2010and a very good manager. Anything can happen. I would not write the Giants off as of yet. They can be very tough contendors.Bugs: The Cubs have a curse they have to overcome, but so did the Red Sox - they finally overcame it and won two world series in the last 10 years! Now, if the Giants and A's were to be rematched in another World Series, I would get the hell out of the bay area? Remember Why? Hint: Loma Prieta....

I hope it wraps up today. It would be nice to have it happen in S.F., butI don't think it would be a good idea to give the Tigers any string to pull. Two reasons for the Tigers to fall, I think is:1. They have not played the Giants and are not used to them.2. They are not used to the lack of the designated hitter, although they fell in their own park. For the Tigers to win, they cannot even lose one game - the Giants have it in their corner, and should make every attempt to finish it now (hopefully today).

That's what I am hoping for!! Although there are only 7 games maximum, the more the Tigers play, the more they get used to the Giants. That is why I hope it is wrapped up today! Also, the Giants have the experience of pressure in a World Series, whereas the Tigers do not. That makes a big difference as well.

Yes, it must be tough being a Yankees fan. Hey VD, I like the Giants and all, but 2 out of the last 3 years your dream has come true. Your ace starter was in the pen and your closer was out early in the season. How exactly does a man panda and a bunch of bench riders = world series champs?
