When the giants were ahead in the series 2-0, 52 other teams had been 0-2 and only 11 had won the series. The last team to come back from a 3-1 record was the 1985 Kansas City Royals. Benji Molina will get a WS ring if either team wins. He was a giant untill he was traded. Barry Zito the player with the highest payroll on the Giants isnt on the WS active roster.

Congrats to the Giants and all of their fans!!! While I would have loved my Reds to be in their place, if I had to pick another team to do it, it would be the Giants. I gotta say they surprised and impressed me.Great post season Giants!!!!Congratulations Vallejo Dave and all the other Giants fans on the board!!!

After the Giants won on the last day of the season to not play in a playoff game for the wild card and then beating the Braves, in the first series and then the Phils to go to the WS, and then winning the WS, "What a long strange trip it was".

I was a Giants fanatic as a little kid. I have a picture of my mother posing with Willie McCovey. I don't give a rip about professional sports any more, but the 8 year old inside me is very happy for all you long suffering Giants' fans. Now go out and have a drink for me at a trans-gendered vegan Buddhist sports bar!

High five back at cha, Dave!If you can manage it, the celebration parade will be at 10:30 am tomorrow. They will go down Market Street and end up at city hall. KTVU Channel 2 will be showing it live online as well as on TV. There were hundreds of fans at the SF airport to greet them when they came home at 4:30 this morning! Now that's dedication.
