Oh, and there's a little thing called the 340 that's giving us a bit of a problem...would you mind giving it a glance?

Excellent, Jeff. Apparently, whoever set up the code made a mistake with one of the open triangles. But that has to be the solution. I considered "stalking" but was thrown off by trying to begin the thing with "I am or You are, etc." "Beware" is perfect!
Thanks Warren . Actually it was your ideas that got me on right track (assuming what I came up with is correct).

Ah yes - that looks like a fun one ;) I have barely had a chance to play with that one. You probably already saw this, but someone posted this link to a program that will make it much easier to work on the 340:http://oranchak.com/zodiac/webtoy/

Jeff's solution to the cipher in the Donna Lass's reward poster is "Beware I am stalking you....Donna Lass."I wonder if whoever set up the cipher got inspiration from the last line of the Cheri Jo Bates Confession Letter: "Beware...I am stalking your girls now."

I don't know who created it, but I believe it was discovered that the phone number couldn't have been from that era, and places the creation in very recent years.

Ok, no need to point out the obvious-ha. I really doubt the PD had anything to do with it. Guess it was Hines--just threw me originally because it says "early 1970's" at the top. Interesting..I have lived in the area for 17 years and never saw that poster. Seems odd for anyone to put a cipher on it. Maybe to grab your attention? Wonder where/if it was circulated?

I don't understand why no one has even given any thought to the idea, that maybe who ever wrote the "Peek through the Pines card", wrote this new reward poster ? Maybe the Zodiac himself did it ! If he is becoming so stupid in his old age, by giving us his po box address in a card. After all he didn't know in 1990 that the card would be put in a drawer until now, and could be traced even easier back in 90. Then why not stir up the pot and do this ? Harvey Hines hasn't anything to gain by making a new wanted poster, he probably didn't even know that the area code has changed sense he was there last. Howard where are you ?

Maybe Tom could chime in about where and when he found the poster?
