Fair enough, but Mike was posting here about Lindsey and Fouke. He said Lindsey and Fouke dismissed ALA, then he said Lindsey was impressed with KQ. But he didn't mention Fouke's response regarding KQ.

I believe Fouke called KQ a 'possible' based on 2 old photos of KQ shown to him in 2003.

Apparently at some point he also said the same thing about Larry Kane.

If Harvey Hines is to be believed, Fouke felt Kane's hairline was reminiscent of Zodiac's hairline.

Which cracks me up because Kane and Gaikowski have almost identical hair:

And neither of those guys had what Fouke called a "widows peak". Fouke is about as reliable as Mageau from what I can tell. Probably less than Mageau.

The "widow's peak" stuff is from decades later. Here's a detailed description from Fouke given shortly after the encounter -- no widow's peak:

In October 1969, there was a store a few blocks from where Stine encountered the Zodiac that sold wigs of all types to make hair appear short. (Some people don't want this to be true, but it is true.) So any perceived detail about how Zodiac's hair appeared that night is possibly an exercise in futility.

The report says 'crew cut' though. You'd think it would be hard to wig it down to one of those.

There were definitely crew cut wigs.

Yeah, that's what I mean, seems he never tells the same story twice. Pelsetti didn't seem to think much of him.

I'd think hair is the easiest thing to change when going for a disguise. Height and weight are harder.
