I will say this about Phillips/Crabtree, I never met the guy, but as far as pics I've seen of him.  He had range when it came to his face.  Every picture I ever saw of the guy looked different then all the one's I'd seen before.  But this one in '69, I guess it was, takes the cake.  And if it was taken in '69, I wouldn't think Phillips/Crabtree would be sporting that hairdo.  Very strange for 1969.  My bro lived in SF in '69, had hair down his back, had a very establishment job, worked in the finance district on Sansome, so he bought this cheap wig for work, looked like the  Phillips/Crabtree hairdo.  But thinking back to the Crabtree/Darlene picture, the one by the fireplace I can kind of see the 2 pics of Crabtree being the same guy.  A few years later, a fuller face, but yeah I can see that being the same guy.
