He may have been keeping tabs on his blood pressure.
Damn. Wish I'd thought of that. It's pretty ironic Allen would be keeping tabs on his blood pressure, considering Rob Huffman once revealed that he was still quaffing beer while on dialysis...

Isn't this B-Roll footage stills from the interview? This would explain the odd angles in an effort to enhance the report. jack

Amazing, yes, but there's a natural human propensity to confuse measuring things with actual progress in changing things. The U.S. public education system is a case in point. Instead of insisting on better teaching, the bureaucracy insists on better testing.

Doug's right of course - ALA would have been checking his blood pressure because of his health problems - I was just enjoying myself saying that he wouldn't have been doing it with a stethoscope. Humour's a difficult science, which I haven't yet mastered. Sarcasm's the best I can do.I'd presumed these stills were something to do with the Rita Williams interview, and that ALA was looking at or talking to a reseracher (or Rita, sitting in a inconveniently shadowy location) before the lights went up. No?http://www.ktvu.com/news/11102306/detail.html Bottom line, though, is what difference does it make? ALA's dead and wasn't the Z, so even if he was an hypocondriac who dressed as a doctor I would assert that it don't matter none. MHO.

I have been inside Allen's home and in the so called basement, the room that is shown here as the basement, looks more like his living room? The ceiling in Allen's basement "bedroom" didn't look that high.  How do we know that picture was the basement and not another room in the house?
