http://www.zodiackiller.com/DragonCard.htmlThere is a dark dot in the R in the word SORRY. Does anyone know whether that dot was part of the original card or whether Zodiac added it to the card? It brings to mind the dotted O in the desktop poem.

In the high resolution, it looks like it was already on the card, I think.

The resolution isn't good enough to tell on the color version.

Interesting. This site has some of the old cards, but I doubt the images are clear enough to tell if any of them have dots inside letters.http://www.bonanza.com/listings/Vintage ... 390536When I get back home I'll try to remember to look through some Jolly Roger cards I have to see if any of them have dots inside letters, etc.

I recently acquired this card.  Note the dot in the "O".

I can just imagine Zodiac looking amongst these cards to see which one suited him best.

The inside of this card reads, "...but I can't seem to get the lead out".     He could have easily sent that one.   ...and "Conn Artist" on the pen.

The "O"s in the card you posted do not contain a dot, while the "S"s in BOTH cards share the ornate exaggerated tail flourishes.
One would think every "O" would have a similar dot inside if the same flourish is shared by the letter "S" on each exemplar,

Also, even with the poor resolution, one can tell that there is no dark anomoly in either "R" in the Zodiac card, only a suggestion of one in the right one. and it appears to blend with the actual main body of the "R", suggesting either a human enhancement or an artifact.

I'm not sure if I am misreading, so my apologies.  --I think you meant to say the "R's", as the "O" does show the dot.

They didn't do it in every "R", just like they didn't do it in every "O".  I have some cards with the exact writing and they didn't put in any dots at all.

I would stake my life that dot in the "R" was put there by the card maker.
