One of very few alleged Zodiac letters documented in the FBI files.

When deciphered, the code mentioned the Albany Medical Center:

Thanks for obtaining this letter. I am sure it was no easy task.

A few things match up despite the obvious attempt at altering the writing.

One of the things I noticed right off the bat is that he starts out neat and ends up sloppy towards the end. The envelope also looks like it might have had extra postage.

Think I might have found where the Albany medical center is inthe cipher. It matches up pretty good. The A, L, E, and N work but not sure about the C?I am not a cipher guy but since they already gave ussome of the solution thought I would try.

Yeah, looking at it I think it is too. There's at least one FDR 6c stamp (on the left) but I can't make out the rest of what looks like postage--though because they appear to have frames I'm pretty sure they're not FDRs (unless what look like frames are just the borders of booklet stamps turned in a funny direction). Tom, do you know what the other stamps are on this one? August 1, 1973 the rate was 8c, so one FDR wouldn't cut it. I guess they could be 1c Jeffersons (which had a frame), in which case it's not extra postage, but it'd be nice to know for sure.

Possibly three similarities to the Channel 9 Letter :1. The postmark on this letter was August 1st, 1973. This day was a Wednesday. Inside the letter the time 5:00 is mentioned.Beatlesong "She's Leaving Home" -"...Wednesday morning at five o'clock..."2. "...I am not dead..."In 1969, There was a flurry of rumours that said Beatle Paul McCartney was dead. One could find "death clues" in their album covers and song lyrics.3. "...You had better hurry..."Similar to the song "Come And Get It." (music and lyrics written by Beatle Paul McCartney for the then Apple group "Badfinger.")See - "~~...You better hurry 'cause it's goin' fast... ~~"Great find, Mr. V.Pax1222

Not sure about the stamps. Looks double-posted to me, though. Here's another similarity --1973 Albany letter:"I'm going to start killing again."1978 Channel 9 letter:"I have decided to begin killing again."
