I thought I had made these points clear, but perhaps not:99.9% of the phone recordings of Gaikowski are in storage. I've posted a few samples that Blaine happened to have available in the van where he lives. The recordings were originally made with a tape recorder at a pay phone. Transferring from cassette to Internet media is tedious and time consuming. Davidmm deserves props for doing so. In some cases the cassette tape nearly disintegrated and had to be repaired. In other words, it's not like we've listened to all of the recordings, and I cherry picked the best ones to post here. I've heard only a small amount more than what has been posted.

Tom,

Thanks for the info. And apologies to you and davidmm for my earlier comment on "tiny tidbits." But if you have made these points clear somewhere, I must have missed that post. I *try* to keep up, but I must have missed that one. Didn't realize or know that Blaine lived in a van, or that the recordings were on old cassette tapes. So, um, sorry.

That said, do the tapes have dates? Others have mentioned, and I agree, that knowing *when* something was said can be at least as important as knowing *what* was said. It just goes to context. That was really what I was asking in the other post, I just phrased it badly.

All I know is the recordings were made in 1986.

As far as the content, I'm not editing content that's germane. I guess you'll need to trust me on that, because I'm not going to upload recordings of Blaine rambling on and on.

Pretty good audio from a pay phone!

Picture a guy standing in a freezing payphone booth at a Montana mini-mart, furiously pumping dimes in while at the same time trying to hold both the receiver and a cassette player to his ear, his flower powered, marijuana leafed van sitting nearby.

Unless he called collect, which really means Gaik was into it. If the operator isn't butting in, that's what happened. "Collect call from Blaine, will you accept?" Hmm.

How keen was Blaine to get Gaikowski on tape, I admire the courage of his conviction to even attempt this.A payphone and a tape recorder, wow. Can't wait to hear more.Codez

For as much as anyone wants to question Blaine's credibility and call him a crackpot, etc. ... he showed to be somewhat clever in having the inkling to tape all these conversations with Gaik. I know we've only heard a little , but the rest is going to be worth the wait. Hats off to those here with the patience to go through and put the tapes into a format that we can hear and I look forward to more as you get it.

One question though, the 99.9 of the tapes that were said to be in storage, I wonder, Tom do you have them in storage or does Blaine. If Blaine is there access to them?

These recordings are almost as compelling as the cyphers...I hope the Tom/Davidmm team is able to acquire more...
