I couldn't leave well enough alone, those of you who have been here awhile may remember me working on the QB-78's years ago...well I couldn't resist and opened up a 60C to see what made it tick. After a little drilling and some minor changes in parts and a new spring in the valve it's now shooting around 660 fps in .22.....does use a bit more gas than normal...and it's much louder.

Mike, why didn't they make this one a bit hotter like that to start with? Or was the aim simply to clone the 2260, etc?

ext. tube like the one that mac1 makes work on the xs60c? I have one on my qb78 and was wondering if it was the same tube size.

the tube threads into the reciever on the 60C so it would need that done also to the correct depth so it seals...

I wish had my qb2078 apart so I could check it out. I guess I have to wait until it's down for something. I hate to do anything to it because it works so good now. Oh by the way my xs60 came today cleaned the barrel and tried it out. Not bad for a $100 I get a gust of air from under the trigger group when I shoot it but I will e-mail best airgun on that.

the factory just didn't see things the same as I did...it is their factory so...I'm working on an easy kick up if possible just have to take some time to make sure it's solid and safe...
