That's you guys I hope; I'm stuck again and if your willing to help some fresh ideas would be very welcome.

I'm more of less finished on the 79s, I'm keeping one but if I dont get some other project going I'll probably just keep on tinkering with it until it's just a pile of fillings.

The problem is that I've No Idea what I would like to to build!! I need a bit of inspiration.

I'm not going to limit myself just to Chinese any make goes, but there does need to be more to it than a de-burr and polish.

I'm mostly interested in rifles but a true target pistol might be OK.

Limitations.

I'm not good a woodwork/stock making.
I'm not over fond of sliding (rat trap) breaches.
I want a good trigger or one that can be made good.
Not too much £ to start of with maybe $150
I hate bullpups!

So come on lads let's have it !! lot's of mouthwatering pictures to get the juices flowing would be great, I could even be tempted to sell off the other 79 and the bulk fill gear if I get mega inspired,,,,,,,,

I've copied this over from the UK forum cause they have not come up with much

Many Thanks Ora

Ora

With your preferences and limits, this sounds more a project of opportunity than of design.

You might consider Making improved elements for your QB.

An octagonal breech block in brass or SS?

A four lever trigger, or a true set trigger

I hope something comes your way!

I have thought of a take down based on a qb79, it would have a tube stock a bit like this-

but I've never been able to think of a good way of de-activating the rifle when the stock is removed.
The UK law requires deactivation just dropping it to 6 and calling it a pistol wont do.

Any suggestions as to how I might manage de-activate the gun by removing the stock?

I've thought about it but there isn't much room and I didn't want springs and bits hanging out of the stock when it's been removed because they could be easily damaged.

.177 Cr. 2300s carbine, low pressure PCP. Just 6 ½ foot pounds, but can take the LDC and butt stock off and be back to the original length of a 2300s.

5mm Cr. 2250. Converted to tanker using a QB79 gas block. Can run it from a 13ci HPA bottle or from small co2 tanks (thats a 3.5oz. co2 tank in the picture).

Have had this .22 the longest, its pretty close to the way Cooked barn sold it. Has run on bulk in the past, is running on 12gr. presently, and will be converted to another low pressure PCP before too long.
