I just saw a post where someone is selling their RAW BM500X since getting their FX Crown.

That got me wondering, I wonder what other airguns members have sold, or no longer use & perhaps plan to sell (or just neglect), since getting their Crown or Impact?

I have an Impact with every caliber conversion available. Its a neat gun, and I like it for what it is. But it will not replace my others. While I can put the .30 bbl on the impact, it is not a threat to my .30 Boss, the boss beats it in velocity and accuracy so far in my testing. The same goes for the Impact in its .25 configuration. It shoots very well, but not quite as well as my FX Gladiator MkII .25 does, nor as good as my .25 long Matador. In its .177 guise, its powerful and accurate. But still takes a back seat to me FWB 700 and Stery 110 in that caliber.

The impact is neat because it can wear many different faces, and is highly adjustable. (It needs to be if your going to be swapping all those calibers with wildly different air requirements).

But so far in the year I've had mine, and believe me when I say I've put it through exhaustive testing over the chronograph and ranges out to 100m.

I like the impact because I can grab it in its case and go do anything. It performs very well in all its guises. But IMHO it is master of none of them.

I have the Impact with three barrels. I gave the Boss to my son.
He seldom shoots it as he has an Impact as well. I was surprised
at the last October airgun competition that more were shooting the
Impacts over the Crown or Boss. I agree with you in that as
impressive the Impact is as a jack of all trades it can be nudged
out by a more dedicated guns.

A relative just picked up a Crown and brought it to my house. He wanted
to sight it in. Granted it was fresh out of the box but I was not overly
impressed. The grouping was not what I would have expected from what I've
read on them. He boxed it up and sent it Ernest Rowe for his magical touch.
Not back yet.

I have always liked my Impact but did send it off to Ernest for a tune.

Right now I have no interest in the Crown due to the length. I'd bought a
Streamline in a .25 and I just doesn't fit my shooting style well. I'm
sticking with the shorter guns. They just work for me.

Not perfect but they sure hit what I aim at.
