Well the wind finally died down in PA late Sunday and I had just received my Rapid back from AZ for a tuneup. I decided to shoot some groups at distance. I set up my target at 118 yards and got some excellent groups. The best of which are below.

A little work on the trigger of the Lonestar and I now it will be better.

More long distance shooting to come this Spring.

First the guns:

[/IMG]

Top group 0.717 ctc, 0.581 MOA
Gun: AZ Rapid MKII .22 Regulated shooting JSB 18.1 @ 880 fps
Scope: Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40 AO

[/IMG]

Bottom Group 1.773 CTC, 1.435 MOA (obviously the shot on the left blew it)
Gun: BSA Lonestar .25 shooting JSB Kings 25.4 @ 850 fps
Scope: Hawke Sidewinder Tactical 6.5-20x42

Not too surprised by the AZ Rapid (still great shooting) but the .25 Lonestar for the money
has to be about the best long range shooter for the money.Been interested in these for a while
I know stock they`re loud, how does that LDC work?Would like to know your view on this gun.

I haven't spent much time adjusting the trigger, but I believe with a lighter trigger pull it could match those Rapid groups. The .25 caliber pellet seems to really shine at longer ranges.

Very nice groups, the lonestar is the most bang for the buck in power and accuracy, wish i had the room to stretch my lonestar's .25 caliber legs, not to many spots left in southeast pa for long range shooting 50 yds max at the club, what part of pa do you reside in?

Where did you buy the brass bolt for the lonestar, has to be a lot more durable then the cast alloy bolt?

Thanks
