First one ever.
No seat belt.
In front of AutoZone. I was going there to buy a new one.
I am going to show the judge my receipt and the defective seat belt.
Hoping I can "Perry Mason" myself out of this one. lol

Check your tag expiration date, check all your lights and bulbs, and for good measure, slap a "Support Your Local Sheriff" sticker on the bumper...LOL!

I can't believe your bad-a$$ self has never got a ticket. What a puss...JK!

Once I came to a stop sign abruptly and the cop lurking in the corner thought I stopped fast because I spotted him. He gave me a ticket and I said good luck defending this one in court because I am not paying it, I stopped.
2 weeks before the court date I got a letter in the mail saying they dropped the ticket and no need to appear hehehe.

I think a reasonable judge would let you off, especially if you have the old belt and receipt (marked the same day/time as the ticket) for the new one.

Go to court and you first give your Plea to a Magistrate. If the Magistrate don't drop it or offer a plea for lesser charges you can request to go before a judge. I just went for an over 15 above the speed limit, Magistrate offered a less than ten MPH, no Insurance points. I took it and paid a $12.00 fine and $180.00 court cost. The damn court cost listed over fifteen different fees and such.

Go early as the check in line builds quick in N.C. i went 45 min early and was about ten in line, when i left the line was already a 100 or so with two Magristrates.

Good Luck

Doug S.
