This is the same model as mine. Still haven't figured out a good airgun application for it, although some have suggested hooking up the pcp pump to it. Cool machines, fun to work with, but take forever, made obsolete by faster,more accurate and more versatile milling machines.

I just recently bought an Atlas.
I figure it will make a excellent automated beercan crusher.

The good thing about a shaper is you can make difficult cuts with a cheap bit instead of a special rotating cutter.
Have you priced dovetail cutters for sights? You can cut a sight notch in a barrel quickly and cheaply with a shaper.
Need long rear dovetails for scop mounting? Same deal.
I'm thinking a spring compressor fixture might be easy to make - manual turning only.
