What are the recommendations for 25 yd benchrest competition? And why?

I'm currently using the Weaver T36 with fine crosshair dot reticle. Very clear optics and affordable at around $400.

Going up the scale I'd look at the Leupold Comp 35x then the Night Force models...

Hi Tony,
would you consider this scope for Field target use?

you can figure out a workaround like re-parallaxing it or maybe mounting a Leupold 50ft adapter to a flip up lens cover(folks have talked of this but I've never seen it in action yet), I'd choose another scope for FT use.

I had a Leupold 35X in the past and the adjustments were crisp and precise. I had a brainfart and sold it.

BECAUSE of the excellent tracking of the turrets. When you move a click, the xhair moves a click! That's really important when trying to get right in the middle. I have a T36 on my Stolle/Panda rifle, an been thinking to transplant it to an airgun BR rig.

I use an ancient Leupold fixed 24X that's pretty good too. I fis the 24X to be about perfect, at least for 50yds. This scope is set to focus down to just under 25 meters, and is good to well over a hundred, which is fine for airgun BR shooting.
