I bought a Center Point 4x16 40mm scope for my new Marauder with medium highth rings and the front lens hits the barrel. Are all medium rings about the same or do I have to get a set of high mount rings?
Thanks,Jim

I have the same scope with med rings on my Marauder and it dont touch the barrel....unless you talking with the scope flip up caps on then it does. I just cut a piece out of the cap about as wide as the barrel and it slip on and off the scope without hitting the barrel, I take off the caps when hunting/plinking and put them back on when storing.

The grooves in front just clear the barrel, but it hits when I adjust the focus. I have switched the rings and it made no difference.

you are trying, as I have Accushot medium rings holding my Hawke 6-18x44 scope on my Marauder with enough clearance for the lens cover. If you have a 4-12x40 scope, you should have no problem.

These are the rings I have used with both my 40mm scopes.

I bought mine at bass pro because I didn't want to wait to try out my new gun. The rings for the small rails are hard to find and selection is limited.
