The new airforce regulators screw right into the stock metric thread tank that comes with the gun. My orignal regs screw into a co2 tank thread size but it cannot be a co2 tank you must use an HPA 3000psi input tank. You would then connect either one to your gun using a co2 adapter or E-TaC (link on my page)adapter and the valve screws into either adapter.

Be better off with that reg on one of your 53 cu inch tanks. See no advantage to use the Airforce tank on a reg + adapter.

oh well good luck with em.

BTW any news on 53cu inch tanks available?
