These guys (Ospreys) are phenomenal fish catchers. The local power company put this pole up just for them after they nested on a nearby live pole, now there is a nest further down river on another live pole. There's a chick barely visible in the shot of the single bird:

to get the pixel density up. The big differentiator is an f2.8 400mm Nikkor lens and matching 1.4x multiplier. An even better setup would be the same lens with a new D3200, a 24 megapixel camera for $700, stunning.
