Our first morning out on the prairie dog hunt at Bad River Bucks and Birds in Draper South Dakota has proven productive.
Cold windy and rainy here. Going back out after lunch.
I took these two with a Talon Tunes 25 Condor at 53 and 86 yards respectfully.

The little guy in photo one looks like he did a bit of the dance of death before falling back in the hole. Great shooting!

Man they are in season right now. Spent the weekend getting rid of as many
as possible. Just over 100 Saturday and Sunday. Mostly using a .25 Leshiy for
the off hand shooting. A .177 Verminator and .22 Mutant for the longer walks.

Bonus was a large Rock Chuck that came out to see what was going on.
The Mutant dropped it with one head shot.

Last year we called it the "Memorial Weekend Massacre". So I'll see about
a repeat this coming weekend.

That's amazing! What part of the state are you in? How can an out-of-state guy get in on that kind of action? Do you have to know a land owner?

This is right on the Utah/Idaho border at Bear Lake.
Surrounded by farm fields and we are shooting from the
side of the road. There are other nearby areas that
are only minutes away that are equally plentiful. Never
have had any trouble or complaints from anyone. Kind of
area where people drive around with rifles in their truck
back window.
