Well I got my B50 .22 back from Big Ed and it was worth the wait. He put on a baffled shroud and a cool pressure tube gauge. It is as quiet as a mouse fart and superbly crafted. I took some shots at my 50 yd target from the bench and though not my best effort, not too bad. It is shooting at about 770 fps 14.3 gr. So happy with the .22 I sent him my .177. Since I got the .22 back I already knocked off 5 starlings!!
Happy shooting, Randy A
I am trying to put some photos on thru Photo bucket.

Randy your B50 looks great. How quiet is the B50 compared to the Mrod. I can feed beans to mice, but can't catch them to hear them fart (not that I really want to). I imagine the rifle must be very quiet at that power.
looking good,

Ok what are your fill pressures. That is low fps. Mine shoots much higher. I have springers that shoot that speed and pretty quiet also.
It does look nice but I don't want to give up the power mine has, I'm shooting around 900 fps on a 2900# fill with 14.3 CPHP.

It seems he can tune a B50 to lower-than-stock power levels, if requested. I agree the rifle will be very quiet at that low power level. I've had mine shooting in the mid-500s (in .22) and it is very quiet without a shroud or LDC. So the lower the power the more quiet it will be. Meanwhile, I've seen my rifle spit out Jumbo Heavies (18.13 grain) at 998FPS. That's 40 FPE, and loud. I'm in the process of experimentally tuning the rifle now, with a goal of about 28 FPE with the Jumbo Heavies, and maybe 50 good shots. For my needs, a bit lower FPE will be acceptable, but I definitely want the shroud because I also want it backyard-friendly.
Oh, in my searches for Ed's shrouds, it seems they can make the B50 nearly as quiet as a .22 Mrod. That's my standard. Mouse farts need not apply.

All this mousefarting is starting to stink....especially since (Tony the real mousefart) is on the LAM!
50 shots at 28 fpe man is your yard over-run with tree rats! You need a pellet gun beta mag. Hook that sucker up to your tank right at your sniper station and leave it at the 40 fpe. Get that oil filter adapter and screw that baby on there...nice and quiet....now whereeeee is that silly wabbittttt?

so far I have not been able to locate the spreadsheet in my files that will hint to me how to get the 28/50. 30/30 is easy, but I think I need to lighten the hammer. I've already used a delrin spring guide to it's best effect, and that with a 0.20" head (made by my buddy Gary). Only tree rats in my back yard, well them plus the rats with wings. So my BAM is way overkill. the Brocock pistol does nicely.

Anyway, I'll see if Ed has a kit ready.

O. K. guys I think everyone know that Mr. Ed is doing some work with the b50. Which I'm happy to hear myself because I have one also. How about everyone trying not worry the man. He has told everyone that he has set backs and it will take same time to recovery!! How about letting Mr. Ed say when he is ready to take orders and stop trying to force him to. I want my 50 to be just as beautiful as the above pic but I refuse to put undue stress in someone life until they publicly say the want it. With that been said : How about waiting until Mr. Ed post on the the yellow that he is Ready to take order!!!!
