They are just a lead pellet with a bb inserted in the front. No big deal just another marketing ploy. I bought some and they are pretty nose heavy with the bb in the front. Not real accurate.
If you're going to be hunting, I think you should use Crow Magnum pellets which are 8.8 grain (almost as heavy as this bb tip pellet) OR if you want a heavier pellet go with the Kodiak which is 10.6 grains. Both of these pellets hit hard. Ive been hearing alot of good things about the JSB Predator pellets which offers good penetration and expansion.
at a computer monitor (1250 .22) that actually cracked the front glass. Nothing penetrated the glass- not even a .22 LR!
Might be handy in .22, but .177 penetrates too much already.
