Finally got out to do some hunting with my new Marauder .25 cal. Only two squirrels but weather improving here in SO Cal and soon it will be busy for both GS and Jack rabbits..

Way to get after them! Nothing but rain and mud here in southern Oregon, so it is nice to see someone getting some sunshine and squill shooting.

Seems that quarter bore really puts the hurt on those Ground Squirrels! Question, how's the Mrod stock feel to you?

Of all my air rifles, this stock is 'fat' and bulky...not sure what I'll do about the stock...may just refinish and live with it...

You could slim down the forearm and grip a bit if that's where it's fat. Also removing the side of the cheekpiece you don't use is another popular mod. Just tossin' out ideas...

The stock is one of the main reasons that I'm kind of steered away from the Mrod.

Use a palm sander so you dont take off too much.

You can take almost a pound of that chubby stock and make it easier to handle.

Ray Apelles from Crosman was at our last field target match and complimented how mine came out.

A couple of hours of work, and you can have a slimmer, trimmer squirrel HAMMER!
