The video shows a shooter protected by a scope.
I was not when firing at a golfball from around 20 feet.
Round with dimples I figured low probability.
I was wrong and the 5:th pellet entered the very center of my aiming right eye.
During surgery (not allowed to sleep for risk of REM) one of the assisting doctors told me he had done exactly the same thing but with an air pistol against a tennis ball. The very first shot came back and hit him in the eyebrow.
He too figured that shots would bounce off sideways and the likelyhood for a dead center hit too small to be taken into account.

I was lucky. The pellet had stopped inside the eye before touching the retina.
17 stitches in the cornea. lens gone and pupil permanently enlarged.

Sorry for preaching but, now 24 years later, safety is something I keep reminding my two sons of whenever handling a gun.

Merry Xmas,
Richard
