I've just agreed to buy an LGR universal match and I'd like to eventually shoot it in informal benchrest matches at my local club(s). I've got a Bushnell Elite 4200 8-32x40 that I'd like to use. Most posts on here state that a 13.5" scope is all that you can fit. I was wondering if you can take a really long scope like the 4200 and have the bell FORWARD of the loading gate. It might have to have high rings to have the loading gate clear the tube. Has anyone done this?
Thanks in advance.

I recently wanted to shoot FT with it and so I put a set of riser from PA on it and high rings hand I have big hands and still plenty of room to load the gun, other wise you may want to go with the leapers, but the 32X would be just great for bench rest IMHO Good Luck Joe
