This was our second match at the new Field Target range and boy was the weather much different than at the cool and windy May match. Even though things started out with overcast conditions you could tell this was going to be a scorcher. Despite the forecast of heat and afternoon thunderstorms, we had nine shooters show up including Joel Yaddow visiting from NY.

The club treasurer, David Devine, has been putting in lots of time at the range, building an access bridge across the swamp and adding a clothes line pulley system to get target strings across the pond. His hard work is paying off because the place is really starting to shape up. Now he needs to start shooting more and working less.

Scott Allen was high Open and high overall with a score of 53. Chris Corey was a close second with a score 52. Congratulations Scott on figuring out the new Thomas.

In Hunter PC, John Ford was first with a score of 50, followed by Philip Hepler with 45. Mike Finchum was first in Hunter piston with a 26. Ed Canoles was second with a 19.

Joel Yaddow, Don Armstrong and I made up a three-man WFTF squad and had a great time. I finished first with a score of 42, followed by Joel with a 34 and Don with a 32.

After the last shooter finished up, the club secretary, Carly Anderson, showed up with some nice awards and rewards in the form of ice cream sandwiches for everybody. Thanks Carly.

Thanks to everyone that participated. Watch the FT forum for the next match and visit the CCGC website for pics and video.

to the match. I didn't know until Friday afternoon that I could go. Gereld set up a really nice course. I didn't even get carried away by the ticks that everybody was talking about. Lol! Looking forward to shooting @ CCGC again.
