Who here can tell me if they think of it as a good little plinker. I have a few springers, one of which is a GAMO Stutzen, which I love. The search feature yields too much irritating knee-jerk anti-Gamo babble, so I thought I'd seek out this safe harbor for an opinion. The gun felt good to me at Sportsman's Warehouse.

It has the same internal parts as the Stutzen, piston, spring, etc.

So if you like the gamo Stutzen the sport is the same inside.

I have a Gamo Stutzen and it shoots great but I do not shoot it that much because of the cocking effort. Mine I converted to a .22 because I had a .22 barrel form an old CFX and I like it much better as a .22 shoots 14.3's at 720 fps and it was shooting 7.9's as a .177 at 810 fps.

later models have a spring-loaded extention, which helps a lot. I would have loved it as a .22. If only I could find a .22 BSA Stutzen...aaahh!

It is an easy barrel swap because the barrel in held in place by a set screw in the left fore arm screw pocket and just make an insert for the loading gate and it's done, the brass insert in the gate just pushes out. You just need a .22 barrel to machine to fit it.

So Rich, when might we hope for the CFX .22 conversion barrels?
