How are you guys taming the muzzle report?

<P>So trying to keep a full length barrel and keep it quiet....... </P>

I took the power down (.177) to 14 ft.lbs shooting CPL's at 900 fps. The report is quiet enough, sounds like a pumper on 4-5 pumps at best. When the gun is turned down to 800 fps, it really gets quiet.

Anthony Storey sells brakes for these and they look very nice. He sells the brake and a new filler cap for around $65. I would have bought one, but after turning my power down, I feel I don't need it - at least for now.

and/or a lighter striker.Anything that reduces dwell or stops multiple valve openings will reduce noise.

that the Anthony Storey muzzle break is an excellent, backyard-friendly accessory for the Discovery. I would recommend a second barrel band for stability to complete the ensemble. The barrel band is $6 and change from Crosman. I ordered one yesterday.
