Just got some progress pics of the wheel I am machining for Gary. Two are on the milling machine just after I finished boring the holes and two are in the lathe facing and initial contouring process.....Hope you like them....

I might be seeing things.. But, that almost looks like a ball cutter on the post..?.
I use it in an arc forming setup to contour the face of the wheel to get that deep hollow look. I also use my heavy duty radius attatchment to do the same on the deeper cuts. This one is my sorta delicate one and I do the more difficult to reach places with it. Sure wish I had a cnc machine this would be a whole lot easier!! Anyway, hope you like it. The pics look pretty small for some reason.Peace..

I heard about that shoot but I'm afraid it is just too damn cold to shoot right now for me. I spend most of my time in the shop with the turbo heater crankin' Hope all is well with you and steve and everyone. Maybe next month?
