Good Ole Boy’s match results – June 10, 20217

Had a great day in middle Tennessee today with 10 shooters – 1 in Piston class, 3 in WFTF class and 6 in PCP class. Danny Ayers was the top shooter overall and WFTF class with a score of 56/60. Danny missed 2 shots in the standing lane and only 2 others through the whole course. Harold Rushton was 2nd overall and also in the WFTF class with a score of 52/60. Steve Vines was 1st in the Piston class with a very respectable score of 41/60. Roz Sumpter was 1st in the PCP class with a score of 49/60. He was closely followed by Jim Baumann with 47/60 and Cliff Smith with 46/60, also in the PCP class.

The weather turned out better than any so far this season. It was very comfortable during the sight-in and was starting to get a little uncomfortable before we finished. There was a little wind during the match that may have affected some of the shooters, but generally was very nice. The ticks are starting to come out, as a few were seen during the match along with an armadillo on one of the lanes. Roz is moving some targets around, so that we don’t get too familiar with the course and has generally made it a little tougher as the season goes on. Not too many easy shots on the course now and the shadows today made ranging a little harder than usual.
