Considering a move to Fla. Can any of you Fla. airgunners advise me on airgun shooting and/or hunting laws?
Thanks, John In N.J.

I talked to my local Sheriffs office here in Jacksonville (Duval county) and was told by the officer who called me back that shooting was permited with a safe backstop and that no bounces passed into the neighboring propertys..

Hunting "Game" animals with a Airgun in Florida is prohibited..

the Blackwater WMA. The regs say not allowed, but I spoke with two of the game wardens out there about a month ago and both stated they wouldn't even consider writing a ticket for hunting with one....of course, it's my luck I'll run into the one that will.....but I'm taking my chances and still do...it's a $40 ticket according to them....you can go to www.myfwc.com and click on hunting, and it will give you the regs....you can go to the WMA's and get the regs on each one of the Wildlife Management Areas.

Airguns in the snow or conventional firearms in 68 degree weather like today in North Eastern Florida.

So the fine for airgun hunting in FL is $40? Pretty steep.
