Here are the results at 25 yards after the new spring ( and seals ) were installed. May not be good enough for some, but for this 71 year old blind man, I'm very pleased with the results.

I have some experience with that.....
Several years ago the 300s were "rediscovered "....several guys here on this forum ( and I believe Jim Marccari himself )began hotrodding these guns with the idea of using them as FT guns...guys like Hendrick, Leonard, and Barube...took home prize loot too.

So to answer your question concerning accuracy, No there is no loss of accuracy, BUT these guns will change their pellet preferences....usually to a domed pellet...I personally have sped up over 20 guns....every single gun shot the AA7.89 dome pellet as its favorite...
JSBs... rs 7.33s, AA8..44s...all shoot well but ...as stated the AA 7.89s...

If you're shooting paper in the basement at 10yds I'd stay with an OEM double spring set....
If you're outside mini-sniping or doing some pest control go for the speed, truly you will amaze yourself at the accuracy easily extracted from these gems.

And yes the later double spring set fits in the earlier 300

There were some FWB300S stamped guns that were 300s guns.

Caught in the transition the receiver and barrel were used.

Here is a way of checking the year made of the FWB guns.
