Thinking of getting a shroud put on by mountain airguns. Does anyone know if this negatively effects accuracy. thanks for any advice

Harmonics are affected by anything added to the barrel...that said, a well designed brake and shroud usually tend to just shift POI to a new spot, without adversely affecting accuracy.

#1 Alread mentioned...harmonics. Shorud or just a weight, it can change how the barrel vibrates. Airguns don't vibrate much (and the change a shroud might make could just as easily help accuracy as hurt it).

#2. The factory "brake" has some stablizing effect on the barrel...that little concave spot on the bottom kind of centers the muzzle on the gas tube.

#3. An active shroud/brake might not be quite on-center, which could let a pellet clip the end cap (or any other internal part). Test with the longest pellets you can find as they are the most likely to "wobble" a bit as they exit the muzzle.
