Need to know the steps taken to remove the original stock on my disco? Safety gets in the way. Any help is appreciated!

Safety must be removed--thin screwdriver or pick under front of safety pull spring away from safety and it will fall out to the right side. Then stock can be removed. Assuming you have removed the obvious forearm attaching screw.

Will see the end of a "rat trap" type spring at the inside rear of the trigger guard, it sticks out just a little bit. If you pry that up slightly, the safety will pull (or fall) right out. With that out, the stock is held on by that one large phillips head screw.

That spring leg powers the saefy,,,the other leg powers the sear. So with the safety out, the sear won't catch and you can't cock the rifle. Don't lift out that spring's leg too far...just pry it up enough for the safety to fall free.

Also, don't over tighten the stock mounting screw... can break it, or break the fitting it goes into, which puts your gun out of action until repaired.
