I just received a gamo CFX in .22 cal.the rifle has been lube tuned and has a custom trigger.the rifle cocks real smooth and shoots hard(725fps).trigger is awesome too.the problem im having is getting it to shoot consistant.im using the scope that came with it(that might be my first problem)i couldnt even site it in using the open sites).the factory scope sited in right away but i keep getting pellets that shoot stray from the rest.i can have 8 shots hit my paper target where i want it at 25 feet and have 2 that shoot way right or way down on the paper.is this common on this rifle in .22?i have a .177 cfx completely stock that will school this one when it comes to consistancy.should i just buy a better scope and let it break in more?i only put about 400 pellets thru it.any help would be great.thanks.

Only been using Wolverines in mine to break it in. My FPS is lower than yours and I get maybe 2 fliers, still on the target, out of 10 shooting 24 yards. Once I get it broke in, there is a sampler pack I'll run through it to see which it likes best.

What the heck does CPL stand for? Does the L stand for light. If so I can't find them in .22 anywhere.

I buy mine at Academy Sports and Outdoors, but Pyramid has them too. JSB Exacts are a good pellet as well.

My CFX .22 absolutely loves Beeman FTS pellets. I tried the superdomes,,, they didn't fly well at all. The FTS pellets give me ragged hole groups at 30 yards.
