After what seems like weeks of rain the CASA folks finally got to hold a match. And what a match it was. Winds exceeding 6 mph and bright sun in every ones eyes most of the morning. It was extremely difficult to see the many uphill targets but such is how it is at this time of year. Soon the earth will tilt and we will be back to normal.

This was the second in the H. Ranch points series and was dedicated to the PCP shooters. Points are awarded according to the percent of hits to the number of possible points. Those numbers are in parentheses at the end of each competitors data. Next match will be in February and will earn springer shooters there points. The course will be set accordingly. Having them alternate every other month allows any one who wants to to shoot both pcp and springer in the GP points series. This series has nothing to do with the AAFTA Grand Prix or the Western States GP series.

I was the guy who designed the course and therefor was a victim of my own devise. I chose to shoot pcp for the first time in two years (took one off) so was not very accustomed to my gun and the new Hawke 10x50 scope. Had very little opportunity to practice with a month of rain, colds and flue. Those are excuses 11, 12, and 13 in the CASA book of excuses, a large book that is constantly being updated. Then there was my shooting partner Neal Lecour. We don't see Neal very often but when we do he always impresses. At the match he was shooting his ancient Tx 200 MK II. I did not see a dope sheet. I did not see a wind flag. He just sat down and shot. One of the best instinctive shooters I have seen.

Next Saturday the 11th of February will be our next match at The H. Ranch.
