Another day in paradise greeted the casa boys and girl. Bright sun and temps in the 80's with some tricky winds of 2-6 mph. We set a 40 shot course on flats and hillsides with the usual tricky gully shots with switching winds. We had uphills with off camber seating and downhilss into the gully. You don'tshoot this course without learning something. Linzie got her scope turret rotated a full turn and it cause her a bit of trouble. That score is not typical.

After the match we all met up at our favorite lunch spot for good food, comeraderie and the usual war stories.

Looks like that group is growing by leaps and bounds. That is good to see along with a lot of familiar faces.

The southwest is certainly growing with airgun shooting sports participation, isn't it?

Best regards,
Mark

in air rifle are becoming available. It has really increased in the last couple of years. Some of this has been lead by some of the old timers wanting to try new things and it has brought new people into the sport as a result.

Or has the earth actually sunk about an inch in the group picture. What a mob! Looks like a good time!

I'd send a picture of one of my shoots, but I can't get myself to hold still long enough to get a group picture of me. On the other hand, I've never lost a match!

I can certainly see why it's named Heaven's Ranch. Are those natural terraces or man made? I'd also like to see some photos of the course some time.

"The Great Jumping Off Place". Must be lonely, but then you ARE state champ.

Heavens Ranch is a working cattle ranch and those terraces are from cattle traversing the slope. its great because, 1. it makes it easy to climb and 2. it makes a nice flat spot for our target blocks and i can make incrememtal changes in distance and angle.
