So I got a used B28 from Mike M a while back and had a hard time using it. Turned out the scope rail cracked and was throwing things off. So I got an RWS 350 rail drilled it to fit and put in a Vortek kit for the RWS 350. Will the power was insane with CPls doing 1100 or better at 6800 FASL I couldn't get a group less than 3 inches at 30 yards.. I let Vortek know and Tom offered me a new kit with reduced power (haha)to replace my current kit. I agreed since he said we were talking about a 20 to 40 FPS loss.
Well got that kit today and tested it out (almost didn't need a compressor to install it).
CPLs 992 17.2 fpe
JSBs 935 16.3 fpe
CHSs 817 15.5 fpe
So I decided to try the JSBs for the go to pellet. Grouped 9 shots in a 1/4 inch hole at 9 yards stacked the first 3 so tight I thought I missed the paper.
Took it out to 20 yards. 3 shots 1/4 inch, 30 yards 2 shots same hole, 35 yards 6 shots in a half inch then I got some wild ones out to 1.5 inches. I spied a stick at about 50 yards out that looked to be about 4 inches long and about 3/8 inch thick so I adjusted the AO and fired dead on and snapped the stick in half with the first shot and I didn't even concentrate on it. Even with my B40 I got to take my time for shots like that.
The gun still kicks like a mule but it is just straight back with no twang or twisting. I hope my scope holds up to it until I can get a solid one piece adjustable mount under it.

Yep, .177. Stripped the stock down today and am going for a dark Red Mahogany on it. The Gammo PBA pellets were doing 1350, sounds like a loud .22 rimfire going off so i put them away as they are pretty useless anyways.
