SCHEDULE

PLEASE REGISTER BY Sept. 1st, 2012. We have to order awards, shirts, hats & name tags. We cant order awards etc. for the classes that dont have at least 5 shooters by Sept. 1st.

Last minute registration for Pistol AND Rifle field target matches is Thursday Sept. 27th by 4:00pm

Practice on sight in line for registered competitors, on Thursday & Friday between 8am and 7pm. Equipment inspection and FPE testing will be done before you get to sight in and during the matches at testing lanes.
In any matters arising and not covered by these rules, the Match Directors decision will be final.


PISTOL FIELD TARGET MATCH

Safety Meeting will be at 9:35am. Matches start at 10:00am. If at least 5 shooters register before Sept. 1st. for the Unlimited class, there will be two courses, one 10-40 yards for the Unlimited class, and one 10-30 yards for the other pistol classes. Competitors can shoot the Unlimited course and/or one of the other PFT classes. Shooters must have completed all the classes they want to compete in by 3pm on Friday.

These will be 40 shot courses, 10 lanes, 2 targets per lane, with two shots per target. Timers will be given with the score cards. Competitors are allowed 5 minutes to make 4 shots. One lane will be standing only & one kneeling only. Tethered tanks are not allowed in any classes. Lead or lead alloy pellets only, are allowed.

NO lasers or separate range finding devices are allowed, and anyone seen with a range finder at any time before or during any of the PFT or rifle matches will be disqualified. Please dont even think about bringing a range finder.

UNLIMITED PISTOL Class (Experimental test AAFTA class)

Air/CO2 Pistols only. No butt stocks. .25 cal or less is allowed. Power is limited to 12fpe. No limit on scope power. 16 inch length limit on barrels, (not including LDCs, Match Director may ask you to remove your LDC for measurement). Knee stands, pads and bags are allowed. 15 inch limit on height of seat/bag. Slings and
Harnesses are allowed. Bi-Pods are allowed. Hangy tanks are allowed and can be used for support. Targets will be half inch to two inches, set from 10 to 40 yards.


AAFTA OPEN Class Pistol Field Target Shoot Rules

Air/CO2 pistols only. The maximum caliber is 0.25. Muzzle energy limited to 12 foot-pounds. Barrel length limited to 15 inches. Inspectors may ask you to remove your LDC/muzzlebreak to determine length of your barrel if there is no other way to tell. No butt stocks. No fore stocks deeper than the trigger guard. No slings, shooting harnesses or other bodily supports. Scopes maximum is 12x, no scopes over 12x are allowed. Seats up to 6 inches high are allowed. No shooting sticks or mono/bi/tri-pods. Knee pads, sand bags, and pistol fore stock mounted knee risers are not allowed. Any shooting position is allowed, so long as the pistol is fully supported by the competitor. Hangy-tanks are allowed, but cannot contact the ground or shooters anatomy while shooting. Timers will be given with the score cards. Competitors are allowed 5 minutes to make 4 shots. One lane will be standing only & one kneeling only.

Pistol Hands supported only class:

The same rules as Open class above will apply. Any shooting position is allowed, but the pistol must be supported by the hands only, without resting the arms, forward of the shoulders on any other part of the body or other artificial support.

Pistol Hunter Class:

Open class rules as defined above, but 15 inch high seats with no back are allowed.
Mono/bi-pods are allowed. No clicking/adjustment of turret for elevation during the match.

SPORTER PISTOL Class (Experimental test AAFTA class)

Air/CO2 Pistols only. No butt stocks. .22 cal or less is allowed. Power is limited to 8fpe. 12X limit on scope power. The AAFTA annual meeting and a Pay your own way / Breaking Bread dinner, will be announced at a later date for Saturday evening.

RIFLE FIELD TARGET MATCH- DAY TWO Sept. 30th
Competitors can start sight in practice for the Rifle Field Target match at 7am, Sunday Sept 30th. Safety Meeting will be at 9:35am. The match starts at 10:00am. This will be a 60 shot course, 15 lanes, 2 targets per lane, with TWO shots per target. Timers will be given with the score cards. Competitors are allowed 5 minutes to make 4 shots. One lane will be standing only & one kneeling only. Half of the competitors will shoot course A on Saturday, then course B on Sunday. and visa/versa.

SUNDAY FREE LUNCH STARTS at 1:00 pm
3rd Raffle Drawings start at 1:30PM Sunday
