I assume the 890 weighs a bit more than the Supreme.

hence the 890 instead out 1000. I'm not certain about the actual power output differences. Ask Ken Fawcett, he's got a gun w/ the 890 top hat, put one into his CFX, I think.

They ALL have the same spring and piston assembly.

The gamo 1000 series 220/440/680/hunters, 1000 Shadow .177/.22, Silver Shadow .177/.22, Shadow Hunter .177/.22, CFX .177/.22 and all the rest are all the same power plant. they have minor differences in the top hat but I have only seen two types. one is solid and one has a 1/4 inch nylon spacer under it.

I have Rifles with both types and can find no difference in the crony output. I even hve a new Nitro 17 and it has the same spring but a smaller top hat, but it still puts out 795's on the crony with 7.9 CPL's

Gamo's like many other manufactures just change Cosmetic options to make different rifle styles.

I own and shoot 7 Gamo rifles and have every one apart and a few other gamo's I have tunned for others.

2 Shadow Hunters, 2 CFX's .177/.22, 1 220 Hunter, 1 Nitro 17,
1 Shadow Supreme .22, 1 Shadow 1000

Imagine one thats roughly in the middle of those two in terms of size and wt. Thats what I took out of a UK non FAC CFX. Also had a weaker spring.

We takling a UK version of a CFX or we Talking US rifles, I don't care or even know what's in a 12 lb. UK version.

Here is two break downs of the CFX and the Hunter series. Notice the Part Numbers !!http://www.network54.com/Realm/tmp/1154212645.JPG

Now that my 890 is getting broken in, it is starting to shoot decent groups. When I got it, the target looked like it was shot with a shotgun. The CFX has been accurate from day one.
My 890 seems to be more powerful than the CFX. Both are advertised at 1000fps. My targets are at 37 yds on 1/2 inch plywood, leaning against the barn. The 890 will shoot through the plywood and imbed pellets in the wooden barn door, the CFX won't even go through the plywood. Same RWS Superdomes in each. Go figure.

Gamo told that the hunters Shadow etc. all have the same powerplant just the Cosmetics are different.... They said that in a .177 it's 1000fps just like the Hunter 440 etc... 750fps in .22 caliber
