.177 from 1250/hunter extreme does penetrate 2x4

Was reading an old thread where there was doubt if the 1250 can penetrate....This was from the Hunter Extreme...the 1250 would be the same power plant...I have both but didn't test the 1250..but I expect pretty much the same result

Based on the angle of the holes it looks like your at point blank range?

I dunno how the angle of the holes makes a difference because there is no way to tell which end is up...My late friend and I were just checking it out across the garage from one end to another end. Shot kodiaks then cut it out.

I shot a same size 2x4 with a hunter in .25 and broke it in half, needed @ ".75 for a full pass thre @ 10 yards

i used a prometheus pellet (.177) w/ my gamo hunter 1250. i shot a 3" phonebook. i saw that the pellet went through the phonebook, and i assume that it ended up on the concrete under the carpet and carpet padding, but i couldn't feel it under there. a fellow could put down an ailing horse or cow w/ this gun using prometheus pellets. it was shocking to me what this rifle is capable of.
