Until I can source a electronic sender for the speedo, I am replacing the 2 piece with a single cable from IAP. But I am having major issues getting through the firewall with the new cable. The stupid transmission side screw is too big to go through the hole with the brake and clutch fluid hoses. Anyone have some advice? I had to replace the old short cable (broken plastic connectors) and the original long cable had slipped out of one of the grommets and cut through the outer cable and sliced the main cable. this is the only thing holding me back....I already know exactally how to route the cable once I get through this stupid hole, but I am afraid of damaging the hydraulic hoses....

I inserted the tranny end in the tunnel form the underside of the dash, and fed the speedo end up from there.

If it doesn't work this way, then try threading it in from the tranny end.

Hope this helps Carl.

I had a brainstorm to remove the grommet and try feeding it through and boom, there it is. All I have to do is reinstall the upper grommet and thread the cable under the car and it should be done.....that will come tomorrow night....I think this is the 4th speedo cable I have done in 15 years and I hate doing them....
