I was out on a shoot today and finished early because the light ended up going south real quick as some nasty clouds rolled in, but I was able to set up quickly for a quick self portrait of me and my car......

and a fair weather too.
I wonder if it isn't too dangerous wondering in the woods like that, you know, bears and such... (just kidding).
Enjoy

In my hand is an old Mark 1 1D, the shot was taken with a Mark II. I was out doing a senior portrait session before it got cold and windy and the senior left. Light was yucky so I did an HDR shot which makes this one look a little funky, but they are fun to play with...

If the weather ever decides to cooperate with me, I will get some nice shots of the car with some mountains and such for you all....

two weeks ago I was in my garage tweaking around with the X and had the garage door open. Heard something behind me and when I turned around there was a grizzly bear sow and cub standing in my driveway. It was a big bear. I have opened the garage door to find moose standing right in the middle of the driveway or lying down in my yard. A honk of the horn and they usually take right off. But all I could think of was "what if this bear decides to come into the garage with my almost upside down in the front trunk? Then it ran off and my heart started beating again. She mauled some 18 year old a block from my condo later that night. My sister had a pretty big black bear in her yard Friday, and she lives about 5 blocks from me.

Hope all is well with you Herzel.....

as I enjoyed very much too!
Had to take a drive this past weekend in the 850 do get my FIAT fix, as I won't be getting my new car until the 28th of September.
Bears in the front yard, how cool is that. I guess you don't leave food in either one of your trunks!!!
Enjoy,
Bob

considering quite a bit of work this winter. Going to redo the interior all black with some custom door panels and some seats that just barely fit... Actually got one seat in now...waiting for a new steering wheel to get the other in (leg room). Got my Sony CD/MP3/Ipod player in, and will work on getting the 4" 5 1/4" and 4x6's in along with a 10" sub. Also planning on swapping out the suspension for coilovers....just got to remember how to do the coilovers correctly...can not find any good diagrams or photos in the archives... I will be taking all the black off the car to repaint and repair the front spoiler, then get the nose, trunk lid, and minor body flaws ready for a fresh coat of paint this spring, and we should be good....

Are you getting the X big brother? 308/328? Seems to me I remember reading that that was your next car on the horizon....

Sounds like you got some great plans for the X, are you going to keep it the same color? What type of seats are you putting in it?
Keep the pictures coming, and some of the bears........ and take some shots of the bears and the x together, that would be way COOL
enjoy,

That will be fun.

Yeah, I am going to spray it the light metalic red. Do not want to hassle with trying to spray it a different color unless I was going to do a body kit or totally strip it. The seats are a universal sports seat called scorpions. not sure who makes them and they are a tight fit. It is taking me a little while to do it because I have to modify the seats to fit, and build custom seat brackets to fit over the fiat ones.

How about a shot of a bear in the car?
