I'm looking at a 1995 S600 Coupe with just over 50K on it, exceptionally well maintained. It's not on ebay but was privately offered to me by a an I-car associate. What's your take on the W140 series and especially the 12 cylinder, would be interested in what you have to say.

On the condition and color. I personally would not want one because it will cost about 2500 per year just to keep it maintained and in the same condition that you purchased it. The 140 is the most over engineered merc ever made. If you just drive it on the weekends and keep it in good condition then I guess its OK. You have to pick your battles with cars. There are worse cars to buy...

...especially for an enthusiast, to list the car by its proper name, x1/9?

Don't mind me, I'm just ranting about a pet peeve.
