...first time this year. Couldn't take it any longer, got home from work and this weekends forcast is the pits. So I decided to put the wheels on and take it for a spin. Took my daughter to work, felt like a million. The gas pump attendant "nice porsche, that'll be premium aye" HA! Picked up the missus from work and down the parkway we headed...

LOVE this car.

like that.My parts car is playing peek a boo , the roof is just starting to show. The 81 is garaged with 3-4 feet of the white crap in the yard.I will however have the miata out as soon as the road gets a good rain, any day now.I store it in my house garage so it's a go any day.

sure feels great after a winters wait. Puttering away, one little project after another. The big projects gotta start one of these winters though, the body. Always thought I would just buy a rust free example. Not a chance now, too much of my hearts in this one, satisfaction indeed. Thanks for the kind words

... one of the nicest' X's!

HAHAHA!

That "buckskin" colored interior really goes well with the body color also!  Congrats!

BTW... I too had TWO gentlemen stop me as I got outta mine today to mail a letter... both of them stumbling over what it was when finally one spit out... "Ahhhhh.... Just what year is "this one" anyway?"

"A '79,"  I said... and both of them nodded... "Ahhh... yes..."

The had no friggin' idea what they were looking at... HAHAHA!  But hey, I sure enjoyed the short conversation!

...turns to starting his X-1/9 for the first time in months!

I uncovered my X for the first time this year a few days ago and a new neighbor came over and said, "I haven't seen a Triumph like that in years!"

You can't pick your neighbors...

Your car looks great!

A far better up graded on is on the way.

IMO, the Exxe is still a FAR better chassis in many ways if one is interested in performance.

BTW, this rust free TR6 frame from California is up for sale now.
