Hi All,
The 74 choke knob has a small cap in the end with the word "choke" molded in the top. I've scanned an online parts catalogue but this part didn't appear. Can anyone give me the part number for this cap? Thanks,

Bob

That plug is one of the rarest fiat parts. I searched for 15 years for one before giving up.....

Seems like every knob I found had that piece replaced with a quarter covered in electrical tape

Would not take much to machine a new one though-

I found mine under the seat of my '74, which I think is consistent with Damon's answer ("Good luck").

It seems that, although they look like a bit of plastic, they are in fact machined from billets of solid unobtainium by the children of practicing Shaker craftsmen.

Some times they're also made of disappearium. I know I didn't throw it away but ... I've searched every parts box I have and can't find it.

If'in ya really gotta have one... what about a "universal" choke cable and knob... they should still be out there.  And... if they are indeed that RARE, then most others would not be able to discern a replacement CHOKE knob for the original.

Here is one that Summit Racing offers:

Tony,
The knob and cable are fine - it's the little cap insert that we seek. Cooky I know, but it's the last detail etc, etc.

Tony,
You will not be flogged by us 74 owners. You see we sometimes feel marooned with our 74's. The knob and cable are fine, it's the little cap insert that we seek. Cooky, I know but gotta have it.
