Looking For Tapes of Old Broadcasts

In the early 80's, my dad hosted a home-improvement talk show on WRKL. Listeners would call in and ask questions about home improvement topics. Recently, the tapes of these shows were lost during a burglary. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way that I can obtain replacements of these tapes.

In those days, only HOTLINE was archived to tape at WRKL. Even those tapes were erased and reused after sitting on the shelf for a few years.

I'm no longer a radio personality, or disc jockey, although I do have a "day job" doing production for a couple of stations around here. I have a studio in my basement at home.

I make my living as an actor and writer these days. (Catch me in "Syriana" about two thirds into the film, I have a brief scene with a line or two...)

I'm doing theater, voiceover and independent films in the Baltimore Washington market, living on a 5 acre horse farm in Maryland with my wife, 3 horses, two barn cats, and a mini dachshund. Life is good.

I still exchange e mails with Larry Ryan from time to time. Larry didn't spike my show open, he spiked "Brandy" by Looking Glass. The 11 second intro went by normally, then, there was Larry razzing me with Bronx cheers and all other kinds of nonsense. Much fun...

Jeff, there is a group of photographs that you might enjoy having and sharing with your family. They span from S'port to Boston...family, friends, radio stations...
Please e-mail me if you would like them. They are gathering dust.

I did try to load one on the site. However, the rectangular image was compressed square. Any suggestions on that?

Thanks,
Mary Catherine
