WOW! What is Syria trying to dig its own grave with verge of NATO talks or is this a false flag opp?

"Turkey says Syria fired on one of its planes that was taking part in a rescue operation for a warplane shot down by Syrian forces last Friday.

Turkey's deputy PM said the CASA search and rescue plane, looking for the F-4 Phantom jet, was not brought down.

He vowed Syria would "not go unpunished" but that Turkey had "no intention" of going to war."

It is obvious Syrians didn't want to shot it down this time, just a few artillery rounds here and there...hmm if whole story is truefull.
This is maybe just a NATO effort to find a good reason to attack Syria without UN aproval.

Let's see what Iran will do if Syria gets open agression.

Knowing the dishonorable Turkish people and government probably their unprofessional Air Farce tried to act tough again and did not notify or request permission from Syria for that flight beforehand which they may well have granted to pick up their metal scraps and bodyparts.

With constant rhetoric threatening Syria with attack, is there any real wonder why the first jet was shot down? For all the guy manning the battery knew, it was the beginning of an air campaign against them. No need to even apologize.

Here's an idea, stop entering the air space of a country you're helping to beat the war drums against. I know, crazy thought right?

I personally would love to see your Air Farce try to even approach any Russian naval vessel stationed in Syria. You don't realize that the national and military power, the independence of policy and balls you pretend your country has in your heads -- Russia actually has.
mt_: It's a search & rescue plane CASA, why would you shoot at those?
You have to ask permission to fly in the airspace of another nation, uncivilized Turk, it doesn't matter what plane it is.

lololol That would be really interesting. Russia would respond and the rest of NATO would call Turkey into the wrong as an aggressor.

It's a search & rescue plane CASA, why would you shoot at those?

It's a foreign military aircraft entering your air space, without permission and fro ma country that is actively supporting a rebellion. Why WOULDN'T you shoot at it. The Syrians played it smart by not downing it with a SAM. But just by using AA guns to take a few pot shots.

Actually I think Turks like you are trying to show your manhood, xulugay, but your penis is so small, we don't see it yet. I don't see how you can qualify violating Syria's airspace to gather intelligence you would likely have handed over to Syrian rebels, is an attempt by Syria to josh.

If you attempt that type of stunt you need a more capable and professional airforce than the Turkish Air Farce. Israel has made dozens of recon flights, bombing missions and dogfights with Syria without suffering a single downed aircraft since the 70's. Clearly the Turkish manhood is lacking unlike Israel's.

Pretty much sums it up really. Though it would be to Syrias advantage with regards to getting world media sympathy on their side; if they did infact give one radio warning to the first jet they shot and perhaps even recorded the radio transmission as evidence that they tried to avoid this incident.

However, that being said, IIRC they were legally within their rights to shoot a military craft in their air space without issuing a warning (correct me if I'm mistaken).

Its also possible that perhaps the fighter was coming in too fast for the AA/SAM operator to contact HQ and get a response back in time to be effective if it was in fact, an attacking jet. Especially while Syrias military is on high alert due to tensions.

Turkey did fail in this. As much as Assad is a douchebag. Has nothing to do with AKP or Kemalism though. I am not buying this Kemalism we are so strong we are so powerful we defeated Russia in their first chechen campaign bullsh!t you read from some of their members (cough cough Istanbul since) Erdogan is sneaky enough and works enough for western goals eventually. No one would do differently. Not within Turkey that is.

I have no sympathy for Turkey in this situation. They are actively supporting terror groups in Syria, and got shot down when entering their air space in what Syrian air defense officials could have very well interpreted as the beginning of an air campaign the West has been watering at the mouth for, for some time now... then they go and do it again...

And Syria is painted as the bad guy here? Imagine Russia was funding and arming anti-government militias in the US, funneling them money and weapons, all while China, Russia, Pakistan are beating the war drums for an air campaign over the US to help the militias.. would the US be right, or wrong in shooting down an unannounced Russian fighter entering its air space?

But we have a powerful propaganda machine here in the West that does an excellent job of making sure people don't think about stuff like that, and instead think that Syria now needs to be bombed by NATO for downing the Turkish jet..

It wasn't an attack on Turkey.. they were acting, for all they knew, in self defense..

I rather have the devil we know (Assad) than to have a bunch of bearded jihadis
taking over Syria's chemical weapons.

Assad falls, Syria will become another Egypt but worse.

However, that being said, IIRC they were legally within their rights to shoot a military craft in their air space without issuing a warning (correct me if I'm mistaken).

-----------------------------------------

If its not a declared war or obvious attack, the following steps are taken by coustumary law:

1. Warn per radio/com

2. Fire warning shot

3. Fire lethal on target.

According to Turkey, it has the com register, and it was shoot without warning.
